Sgt Rufus

Sgt Rufus WIP
First time painting a Cadian, I picked up the new Command Squad for cheap. I like his chunky heavy artillery gun, some kind of mortar/grenade launcher. Feels good to have a normal army man for 40k.
Sgt Rufus, Kiosk, and Gio. And the Silent King.

Brother Nolus and Tau Scout

I finished one of three Chaos Marines from Blackstone Fortress. His head is a 3D printed Sons of Horus head. I didn't take too many shots because I painted him mostly at a hobby hangout, but I have his WIP identical twin. Hardest part was painting the armor blacks while avoiding the trim, because I primed him white. But it was pretty satisfying to paint the gold nmm.
The remaining two.
Many talented and friendly people at my local hobby store.
The finished battle brother.
I also painted my first Tau (that's not dead). Got this model secondhand from my hobby shop. He was fun to paint, very pleased with how he turned out.
Last thing I did was add a gloss varnish to the yellow parts of the armor and the front of his binoculars.

Eldar Army Progress

I've started working on my Eldar Craftworld army pretty heavily, I want to have a complete army soon. Here are some  Dire Avengers I made with bits I had and WH Fantasy Elf Shadow Warriors. Pretty happy with how these turned out, I think I will kitbash the other aspect warriors in the same way.
I'm also working on 20 Guardian Defenders, and trying to finish them quickly. I'm no speed painter, but I'm trying to find ways to get rid of unnecessary steps and shorten the process. I did one test model for the scheme.
Primed with wraithbone, this pushpin and cork cutting board combo is nice, especially since I want to do the bases separately.
One guardian finished. Wash the primer with Vallejo Smoke, then layer back up with tan. I used Golden acrylic here, but it came out too thick and glossy I think. Perhaps I have to do extra, thinner layers, or use a more matte paint. I'll be matte varnishing them at the end anyway.

Brother Perceus

Another Space Marine Hero, another randomized paint scheme. This time around is Gorgons, which have absolutely zero backstory besides being loyalist, so I made my own:
The Gorgons are a small mysterious chapter, successors of the Blood Angels. They are said to never remove their helmets, unless they are alone amongst their fellow Gorgon brothers or they have succumbed to the Black Rage. Rumor has it that meeting a Gorgon's unfiltered gaze causes complete bodily paralysis, greying of the skin, and sometimes even death.
The Gorgons are also known to possess chemical weapons that release a paralyzing gas, and even a few minutes of exposure causes total loss of taste and touch permanently.
They are not known to suffer from the Red Thirst, although there are several redacted Imperial documents dating back to the Badab war.
I did this model in sub-assemblies. Mostly because the arms would be a pain to work around. Primed with an airbrush in grey and then sprayed with white from above.
My initial green layer was my first time using Army Painter paints...and the green looked blotchy and terrible. I'm not sure if the bottle I was using was bad from sitting on the shelf too long, or if it just doesn't thin well, but I forgot to even take a picture of my initial glaze before going over it with Citadel Moot Green. Vallejo Clear Orange for the trim and then Flat Red, and MSP Nightmare Black for the helmet.
Freehanded the Gorgon's chapter symbol on the left shoulder, and a 'statue' on the right shoulder.
I didn't have the nicest color scheme to work with, but I think I made due. I wish the chest was a bit more visible on the finished model, but you can still make out the white on the tabletop. A good challenge and nice sculpt, I like his backpack's missile reloading arm.

Lord Stinky

Lord Stinky
I painted this guy for a warhammer secret santa, my match Wanted something Nurgle related.
The head is from a Rogue Psyker from Blackstone Fortress, and the spikes from a traitor guard. I included the other bits in case he wants to swap the arms (which I magnetized)
Here he is finished. First time painting Death Guard, and it was a lot of fun.

Brother Bob

Bought as an impulse buy space marine hero, I asked for a random chapter to be chosen for me. The winner was Marines Malevolent, whom I had no knowledge about at the time.
Vallejo Transparent Yellow was used over a white basecoat.
I went with a purple base to contrast the yellow armor.
Here he is finished:
I'm pretty happy with how he turned out, this random marine. I might do this again with a different chapter.
Some Marines Malevolent memes:
Reminder that they are on the "good guys" side of the Imperium, despite their uh...countless war crimes.

Japan Get 10/2022

Green Star Platinum, a random cool looking mecha, and the Akuyaku Miyazaki tank, which I plan on using in an Adeptus Mechanicus army as a Skorpius Disintegrator. Someday I'll add a scratch built Ordinatus to the force as well, with custom rules.

Additionally, some 3D printed SoH helmets for these two Black Legion fellows. I'm excited to paint the BL color scheme with some non-metallic metal gold.
